Dr. Kim Cassida is the Forage Specialist for MSU. Her research program focuses on using the forage components of agricultural systems for improved productivity, resource conservation and resilience to environmental stress. She oversees the forage variety testing program at MSU. Her extension program supports state-wide education in forage and grazing management for dairy, beef, small ruminant and horse producers via factsheets, web publications, field days, demonstrations, conferences and grazing schools. Dr. Cassida also teaches an undergraduate course on Forage Crops and advises graduate students.
