Dr. Erin Hill has been an academic specialist in the Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences at Michigan State University since 2015, serving as the Weed Science Diagnostician in Diagnostic Services. Dr. Hill previously served as the Cover Crop Specialist (2015-2017) and as a research assistant with the weed science group (2006-2015). She completed her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees at MSU in Crop and Soil Science and Horticulture, respectively, and a B.S. in Plant Biology from the University of Michigan. As a member of the MSU Diagnostic Services team, Dr. Hill handles and assists in cases involving: herbicide resistance, herbicide injury, abiotic injury or nutrient deficiency, and plant identification. Dr. Hill also serves as the instructor for two of the undergraduate weed science courses.
